Hello anyone who is looking. For many years I have felt a tug at my heart to share the things that God has been teaching me and some of the things I have learned just by being alive. No one is editing this and it will not be a college paper so don't expect perfect grammar or punctuation.
This started out as an idea based from Titus 2:1, 3-5 "But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine... Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind and submissive to their own husbands, that the work of God may not be reviled."
Another scripture also inspired me to act. Hebrews 10:24-25 "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
I realize that the day that this scripture is speaking of is the day of Jesus' return. However, isn't the day always approaching? Each day we are walking this Earth is one day closer to the day of His return. Each day is the day that the air conditioner breaks and it is 95 degrees or you are misunderstood at work once again or the paycheck doesn't go quite as far as it needed to. So day by day we are to encourage one another and spur each other on to love and good deeds.
To that end, with the Spirit working within, I hope to bring you encouragement. It may be spiritual or it may be practical. It may help you today but not tomorrow. Know that each post will be prayed over and I will do my best to follow His lead. I may or may not be older than you but I know for sure that you are older than someone else so reach out and encourage one another.
Hooray for your Titus 2 blog! I'm super excited to follow your posts and glean from your wisdom! :)
ReplyDeleteTricia, this will be a blessing to us all. I can't wait to announce it at Bible Study!
